Hey y'all, I'm Jeanette.
I graduated magna cum laude with a B.F.A. from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). After college, I cut my teeth at the world's leading public relations firm, Edelman, working alongside some of the globe's most influential consumer brands. As much as I loved my role in corporate America by fulfilling the aesthetic needs of clients, I was hungry to get back to my roots as a fine artist.
That brings me to now. Morrow Studio formally launched in
November 2016 and I have been working out of my studio in Manhattan ever since.
You’ll find me creating within two mediums. I am an abstract painter, hallmarked by larger scale color stories that are loose, gestural and emotional. I am also a ceramicist, exploring the boundaries of form and function through detail and texture. Much inspiration is drawn from the mediums themselves, allowing them to ultimately decide what it wants to do and for me to act as a messenger. I am humbled and excited to be sharing my works within private and public spaces.
Much has been graciously given to me in my life and I hope to pay it forward. A percentage of Morrow Studio sales will go to a different charity, picked annually. 2017's non-profit is Young Life - Upper West Side.
